Hi,
We are group of 9 people planning to do Manali – Spiti – Manali circuit. We got the itinerary from your website. Appreciate your help. Is it advisable to take this route during last week of Sep? Do you have any idea about the current status of this road?

The route is open currently and you can do the Spiti Valley tour in last week of September. It will be quite pleasant.

From Shimla side road will be open, please avoid taking Manali – Kaza road in last week of October. Also, carry enough woollen clothing as it will be cold in Spiti Valley in last week of October. Refer: Tips for Carrying Clothes for Spiti Valley Trip

Hi Dheeraj,
We are first timers to Spiti or Leh and we have 8 days +2 days(Travel to & fro to Manali). What road would you suggest? Manali – Leh – Nubra – Pangang Tso – Tso moriri – Leh – Manali (OR) Manali – Kanzum la Pass – Kaza – Chandratal – Manali (there’s a iternary plan from your website for this. We took that one) ? Which one has difficult roads? Which one has more scenic views? Which road is more pronic to AMS?
Will arrive in Manali on 23rd Sep and ride between 24th Sep to 2nd Oct.

Anil, I will recommend traveling to Spiti Valley with 8 days in hand. You can go from Shimla side and return from Manali side. You can check a very balanced and most common itinerary for Spiti Valley followed by many travellers including me at the link here for 10-11 days: Most Common Itinerary for Spiti Valley.

Sankar ji, Ciaz will struggle at places. It is doable but it will have underbelly hit and some scary moments
