We are a group of 6 people visiting Kashmir mainly to ride bike in Himalayas. We are planning to rent our bikes from Leh. This is our plan.
27th April 9 AM – Reach Leh – Rest local sight seeing getting acclimatized to the local weather on day 1.
28th & 29th April rent bike and travel to and fro to pangong.
30th April & 1 may- rafting in leh and start to srinagar (planning a bus ride or cab/taxi service)
2nd May – Boating @ Dal lake and Start from Srinagar back to Chennai..
Anything you feel too odd or risky with this “tentative” itinerary?

April is still almost winter like conditions and due to snow on roads to high altitude places over passes, army does not allow to travel by bike over there. You have very less time on hand, I will recommend to go through: How to make trip to Ladakh in 5 Days?
SIR, I AM TRAVELLING TO LEH FROM DELHI ON April 24th. stay at leh on 24th. If we leave on 25th to Pangong Tso lake and nearby places of sight seeing interest, where to stay on 25th night. We dont want to take a long journey in one day. Plan to stay on 25th at Pangong Tso or any near place and return to Leh hotel on 26th and stay there on that day. We have to leave back to delhi on 27th by 10 am flight

Hi Ramanathan,
First two days after reaching Leh by flight has to be only rest and acclimatization else you may fall sick. Secondly, after rest for two days you should visit Nubra Valley to further acclimatization before going over to PAngong Tso which is at much higher altitude. April is more or less quite cold in Ladakh, so make sure you are going prepared as a winter trip.
