Karan, the road conditions are still the same. There is this diversion that is living out so far but was closed during past week for on and off basis due to heavy rains since the road is narrow. Still, no news when the original main road connectivity will be restored.

Rains Usually settle in September now a days, so I can guess it will be rains in last week of August too in Kinnaur. Check the forecast and then only plan to go from Kinnaur side else go from Manali side and come back from Manali side only.

Everything is accessible provided you are careful.

    1) Delhi – Manali Road – Very Good/Bad/Ok
    2) Manali- Rohtang – Ok
    3) Rohtang – Batal – Extremenly Bad – With 8-10 water crosiings
    4) Batal – Chandratal Bad and Very Narrow
    5) Chandratal – Kunzum La – Losar – Extremely Bad
    6) Losar – Kaza – Good/Bad
    7) Kaza-Kye-Kibber – Very Good
    8) Kaza-Langza-Komik-Kibber – Very good/Bad
    9) Kaza to Attargu – Good/Bad
    10) Pin Valley – Good/Bad
    11) Attargu-Lalung-Dhangkar- Bad
    12) Dhangkar-Tabo-Bad
    13) Tabo=Giyu-Nako-Good
    14) Nako-Spillow-Good
    15) Spillow-Wangtu – Bad (However the widening work of Tapri to Cholling via Urni is going on and it was far better as compared to when I did it in July)
    14) Wangtu-Sarahan-Good
    15)Sarahan-Delhi-Very Good

We did it in Fiat Punto and it did the job. We had to be patient with the bad stretches but everything was worthwhile. Would like to thank everyone on DOW for the kind help.

For any further queries, pls. pm me.

    Regards,
    Navneet

More update on the road conditions between Delhi – Kinnaur – Spiti by Vijay at the DoW Blog comment here

we complet our trip and return on 10th April.Realy it is a nice and enjoyable trip in our life.Road conditions are good before Tapri. After Tapri is not so good. Some landslide are found in between Tapri and Sangla.Sangla to Chitkul road is quit good.We have not go to chitkul proper due to heavy snow on the road, but before 1.5 km chitkul near rakchham,we found lots of snow.
