Well today I was going through my photo archives and cherishing those memories when devil used to be mama’s boy going out only to known places, planned trips, knowing little about the place, with known people, some big groups, with all do’s and don’ts etc etc :). I wonder now that home I enjoyed those trips as well when diving into the unknown has a perfect state to fall in trance. But, I know time changes and I thought why not share those nostalgic memories with you as well by starting the photo log of first in the archive named "Nainitaal"
The only common thing at that time was devil used to try and capture the nature 🙂 to cherish it when he can’t be with it. I hope you will like the pictures as you know since it was all that mama’s boy trip so didn’t really have much details apart from some clicks how that placed looked like. The trip was organized through a tour operator and I feel few of us had little knowledge about it and the only thing I knew was that "I am going on a break to some taal" These lines I feel would be common for this "Nostalgic Moments" series. I hope you won’t mind 🙂
It was the first time I went with such large group and I tell you it was great great great fun. Almost it was the start of my job and people had very little understanding of each other but still we planned a trip, kudos to some of the people in the group. The trip was packed with emotions, actions, drama, scripting, celebrations, cribbing, stories, trekking, boating, rain, pain, vain etc etc i.e. All that you can imagine from just-out college guys 😀 and EMOTIONAL ATYACHAAR, LOL. The sequences and drama continued even after the trip and the period now feels really enjoyable as it almost brings back the memories of college days. AWESOME… Now I will leave you with all what I was able to capture

First of all I thank you , In 2013 December I had taken your advice and visited Manali , solang valley , Kullu , shimla, had a great time and were lucky to get snow fall too.
Coming next weekend 5th June to 8th June we 4 friends are planing for a short get a way from Delhi to mukhteshwar, though have no clue about mukhteshwar , whats in mukhteshwar, where to stay, even the road is it good ? Could you please help out how to plan my trip to mukhteswar , thanks in advance

You can do it like 2 days at Corbett, 2 days at Nainital and around, especially Pangot and then 2 days at Binsar. One day from Binsar you can go for Patal Bhuvaneshwar trip. Regarding stays up there at Nainital either go to Pangot and pick some camping site OR stay at Fair Light Trails British Bunglow at Mallital having great view of Nainital from the rooms. Budget will depend how you will be commuting. May be you can book train ticket to Kathgodam and then take on taxi from there. Yes, rains should be OK at this time of the year. Monsoons generally arrive late July and August. Yes, Delhi to binsar seems longish but I will advice following

This way you will be spending more time with better views and out of tourist places because Nainitaal would be full of tourists at this time. In fact if I were you, instead of binsar and Chaukori, I would have gone with to spend three days at Munsiyari and take Binsar and Chaukori as pit stops only.

Thanks alot. But, Uttarakhand is all sought of sorry state due to landslides and flashfloods everywhere. Would suggest you to postpone your plan for the time being. Yes, two days shall be enough for Nainital.
