Hi Dheeraj,
First of all, thank you very much for your help and guidance without which I couldn’t make my trip to Deoria Tal, Unimath, Chopta,Tungnath and Chandershila successful last year.
Fortunately, mother nature is calling us again to explore Parvati Valley this time. Again I need your suggestions and wisdom to make it easy for first timer.
So, I would be leaving from Delhi on 22nd Dec evening and will be having 23-25 days in my hand. Then I need to leave by 25th night so I can reach Delhi on 26th morning. I would be using public vehicles most probably. Can rent a Bike in Kasol.
Please suggest me the best possible route as I want to go to Kasol, Malana, Tosh, Chalal and also want to do Kheerganga trek. How I should plan my itinerary? Where to make halts? What to see, what to explore? Whom to contact for camping and where to camp?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Gautam

Hello Gautam,

You have plenty of days on hand, so time is no worry. A day by day plan is hard to set for such a long trip to Kasol and Parvati Valley only.

I will suggest that you add Prashar Lake and Barot as well to the loop. All these places are very near to each other and can be managed easily with public transport.

The flow of the itinerary could be reaching Kasol and visiting the nearby villages of Kasol, Tosh, Kalga, Puga, Chalal, Malana and trek of Kheerganga if weather and snow permits. Spend about 17-18 days and soak in the nature around Parvati Valley.

Then, move to Prashar Lake and from there spend rest of the few days in Barot.

Regards
Dheeraj
