Hi Dheeraji/ DOW team,

One of our know person told it is already snowing at high mountain passes in Ladakh. So he is suggesting us to take Manali – Leh route first instead of our original plan of Srinagar.
Per him by 25th SEPT when we’ll be coming that route there are more chances of snow… that is why is suggesting.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Chandigarh – Leh and Leh – Chandigarh we are driving SUV.
For Pangong/Nubra etc we renting bike.
We want to try our best to avoid AMS.
What do you suggest, should we do Manali – Leh route first  as there are chances of more snow by 24/25 SEPT or stick to our original plan of doing Srinagar to Leh first.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Regards,
Santosh

Hi Santosh,

Yes, that is fine just make sure you sleep at Jispa and then leave Jispa early morning to reach Leh the next day.

Though snowfall has started but snow goes away in a day and is not persistent as of now. In case it snows, you may have a day or two block else it is OK in last week of September now a days.

Regards
Dheeraj
