Hello Dhiraj,

First of all, I just want to thank you for this wonderful blog. This blog helped us very much to plan our trip to Ladakh.
We are visiting Ladakh on 16th June, 2018. We will be following MOST COMMON ITINERARY suggested by you.
I have a query in that:

  1. On day 2, it is suggested that from Kargi-Leh, we can visit Gurudwara Pather Sahib, Magnetic Hills, Confluence at Nimmu etc. Same has been suggested for Day-10 for sham valley trip. So what else can be visited if we do not want to rest on that day?

     2. How is river rafting in Ladakh? What are your views on river rafting if one has done it at Rishikesh? Can hard work done for rafting affect acclimatization?
    3. Are there any other sports activity that is worth to do during Ladkah trip?

Hi Shyam,

Well, if you do not want to rest on that day and if Hanle permits are being allowed and people are allowed to cross Loma checkpost, then you can do Leh to Hanle, Hanle to Tso Moriri to use the free day.

Rafting is also a good option but it is a similar experience with different views. You should only do rafting after coming back from Pangong Tso because by then you will be acclimatized to do some hard work.
