Journey

Andrzej Łanuszewski asked 3 weeks ago

Hello Mr Dheeraj Sharma,
On August and September this year I am planning to visit  Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh & Zanskar and Sikkim. My journey through two North-West States I divided for 10 sections. These are:

  1. Shimla to Keylong via Kinnaur and Spiti Valeys, Tandi
  2. Keylong to Kishtwar
  3. Kishtwar to Srinagar
  4. Srinagar to Kargil
  5. Kargil to Padum and back, or if it possible is, from Padum to Lamayuru and Kargil
  6. Kargil to Leh
  7. Leh to Panamik (Nubra Valey)
  8. Panamik to Pangong Tso
  9. Pangong Tso to Manali
  10. Manali to Kullu and Shimla

Therefore I need some informations.
Are there public transport available? If not how, much costs to rent a jeep (with driver) on each section?
How many days takes journey (without sightseeing) in each section?
Thank you for your answer
Andrzej Łanuszewski

Hello Dheeraj,
Thank you for your immediately answer. Your idea is very interesting.
Therefore I have one question: Is it possible to go from Kishtwar to Srinagar by way No. 1B via Dadi Peth and Vailu?
I am planning to be in New Delhi 1 of August this year. up to Kalka I want to travel by train and from Kalka to Shimla by Shivalik Express. After my Himachal Pradesh- Ladakh & Zanskar journey I want fom Shimla to Bareilly to go. My next target is Sikkim.
Thank you for your answer

Hey Andrzej,

Well, yes, you can asp take that route which will pass through Sinthan Pass and merge near Awantipura. I used Patnitop to have a relaxing day but you can relax a day more at Srinagar in such a case by taking that route or use that day somewhere else.

Regarding moving to Bareily, I will suggest instead of Shimla better will be to do Manali to Ambala or Chandigarh and then take the train from there to Bareily.
