I am a solo female Traveller and am planning a weekend trip to he Tirthan Valley. I plan to take a bus from Delhi on Wednesday night and take a bus back on Sunday afternoon or evening. I am not interested in angling and don’t want to do heavy trekking (3-4 hours of strolling or easy trekking is fine). I have read about a lot of places in the area like The Great Himalayan National Park Jalori Pass, Sarehul Lake, Jibhi Waterfall and Chaini Fort. I have 2 questions:
1. In the time period I have, which are the must visit sites and which ones can be skipped?
2. Should I stay in Jibhi or Gushaini so that I don’t have to spend too much time and money in cabs going from the hotel to the places?
I look forward to your feedback.
I will suggest that you stay at Gushaini, which is the heart of Tirthan Valley and hike to the nearby waterfall. Just soak around and walk in the villages, beside the river and get the feel of it. Rest all the places can be skipped for this experience.
