Hi Dheeraj,
I hope you remember me about the below topic

Food/restaurant availability towards Hanle

A slight change in the plan as I have to stay in Leh for 3 days to help in logistics of climbing expedition of a friend. So, I have decided to hanle via spangmik.

Leh- Sakti
Sakti-Tangtse
Tangtse-Spangmik
Spangmik-Chushul
Chushul-Loma/Nyoma
Loma/Nyoma-Hanle

Can you please provide an insight idea about the road after spangmik which I need to face? Also let me know if there is any accommodation in Loma?

Regards,
Abhirup

The route is fine Abhirup. I hope above are not the days or night halts you have planned.

Loma does not have any place to stay, Nyoma has home stays. The road from Spangmik to Tsaga La is all dirt track only but post that road is tarred

Hi Dheeraj,
From Spangmik I am planning to go to Chushul in a single day and stay overnight in Chushul. Next day My target is to make it to Nyoma (as you stated Loma doesn’t have any accommodation facility).
Does this sound fine?

Also is there any possibility of getting homestay in Chushul? Also I read in some online forums that in this areas Dogs are there which are ferocious by nature.

Yes, you can make it to Nyoma as the roads are fine post Tsaga la ahead of Chusul. There shall be homestays with very basic facility in Chusul. Also, I will suggest instead of Spangmik you should stay at Man, Merak villages
