Hey Moinul,

I must appreciate that it is one of the well balanced and research itinerary I have seen from a first timer doing research and preparing the plan.

The only thing I will suggest you change is a bit less travel on Day 6. You should skip Panamik and Sumur and spend more time in Diskit and Hunder. This will help you enjoy more in Nubra

Hi Dheeraj.
Thanks for your reply. It’s Moinul here. Actually I have created my user account with the same name of my first post.
I shall drop Panamik & Sumur as per your advice.
I need your advice on few additional aspects listed below:

  1. Can you please give an idea about cost of Jeep & Tempo Traveler for Srinagar – Kargil – Leh ( 2D & 1N)?
  2. Can we hire a Tempo Traveler for 4 Days (Day 5 to 8)? What will be the estimated cost? will it be safe to travel with Tempo Traveler in Ladakh region as I am expecting that total tour member will be 07?
  3. Can we hire a tempo traveler which will be with us for entire Ladakh part and drop us at Manali?
  4. At day 02, should we have our night stay in Srinagar or Sonmurg ( for better altitude adjustment)?

Thanks & regards.

As per the taxi union rates of year 2017-18 (http://devilonwheels.com/leh-ladakh-taxi-rates-2017-18/) following is the break up
Srinagar – Leh in 2 days = 18400
Leh Local sightseeing = 2500-3000
Leh – Nubra Valley 2 Day = 10566
Leh – Pangong Tso 2 Day = 10301
Leh – Tso Moriri – Tso Kar – Sarchu – Manali 2-3 days = 29056
Leh – Manali 2 Days = 21588
Leh – Pangong Tso 1 Day = 8653
Leh – Nubra Valley 1 Day = 8053
You can usually get about 10-15% discount on these taxi rates after getting in touch with the driver directly. You can call the local drivers directly to connect with them and check the more comprehensive List of Taxi Drivers for Ladakh – Srinagar – Leh – Manali with recommendations/reviews for DoW community members.

Tempo traveller rates cost about 35% more what is stated above for the taxi and it is fine to travel in tempo traveller. Night in Srinagar and then in Kargil is just fine.
