Manali - Srinagar - Leh - Manali Bike Tour ? Crazy?

First of all congratulations for the site and great work Dheeraj Sharma.
By far the best place to prepare a visit to Ladakh with honest, precise and great information. The amout is also impressive.

We are 2 Portuguese men and will rent 2 bikes to travel in the Ladakh region on August 2018.
More exactly from 30 July to 16 August 2018. 18 Days in Ladakh
After reading hundred´s of pages and sites of information, we concluded that the best place to start would be Manali, and rent after arrive day 30.
The itinerary is open and still far from ready.
But after reading your excelent article 5 Reasons to choose Srinagar – Leh Road over Manali – Leh Road ... -leh-road/
We have a question or two.
Is it possible, advisable, reasonable or even crazy to do a Manali - Srinagar - Leh - Manali Tour renting the bikes in Manali ?
16 ou 17 days would be enough ?

Sorry for the crazy question´s but searched and have not found no one that have done this tour.

Best Regards

Manali to Srinagar first and then, again to Leh and Manali is a bit unnecessary, though not actually crazy. If you've decided to do Manali -Leh, you should go ahead, just make sure you have taken precautions for AMS related problems.

You can have a relaxed trip in Ladakh in the 17 days you have, or you could try and do a bit of Zanskar with it OR Spiti with it.

I hope you are aware that Bike rented in Manali cannot be used for sightseeing in Ladakh like Nubra, Pangong Tso etc,
