As per the reports from Losar Village, locals have confirmed that road has been opened from Manali to Kaza, though exact situation will be more clear by evening if vehicles are able to cross that stretch of landslide between Chattru and Chota Dhara. Will keep it updated here.

The Slide patch is still not open between Chota Dhara & Chattru.......in fact, news from Kokhsar station is, that GREF will be sending in Machinery & Manpower to open the patch, by day after/20th June......and to our assumption it will take them at least 2 days to open the Slide patch, after reaching there.
On the other hand, I personally doubt they will take that long to reach/open Chattru/Chota Dhara patch, as many tourist are stranded in Kaza/Losar, who can neither come out of Kinnaur side (which may take 5-10 days to open) nor Manali side..........so under pressure, GREF chaps may clear the road between Losar & Manali, at the earliest.

even after opening of the part between batal and chattru, about 32 km of the distance I guess, driving is an adventure in itself for small cars or with low GC vehicles as there is nothing called roads, just path full of stones and many water crossings. Best of luck to GREF for helping stranded tourists.

Workers are working on the landslide which is there. Many tourists are stranded at Kaza who want to exit via Manali, are creating lots of pressure at administration because road from Kinnaur will take good amount of time to get recovered/restored. Positive news are coming that administration is pushing hard to open that road in next couple of days.

Stay Tuned, as soon as few of the cars stranded in Kaza passes by, the news will be here, as we are in direct touch with them :) :)

The Blockage points are at 3 places......2 point between Grampoo & Chattru near Dorni Nalah and 1 point between Chattru & Chota Dhara.
Possibly the road will be through by today or tomorrow......

@ Mayank
Buddy, Rohtang pass has been opened in April itself & Kunzum pass which is only 19 kms from Losar is open since May end........
Opening of pass doesn't mean the the road/stretch ( Losar/Kaza to Manali) is completely through/motor able.

Sundar, well Manali - Kunzum Pass - Kaza road is open and operational. However, from Kinnaur side it is still shutdown and will continue to be in time to come. It is not recommended at least this season to Travel via Kinnaur side at least till monsoon completely resides, that is by September end or so.
