Yes, Robin there are taxis available which will take you to these places easily. A round trip to Hikkim, Komik, Langza will cost you about 1200 bucks and similar prices will be there from Ki,Kibber, Gette too. You can travel bu local buses to Pin Valley and then come back in taxi may be if required or can decide between them after confirming the prices.

13/6/2013......

Due to bad weather for past couple of days @ Losar and beyond @ Kunzum/Batal.....the road clearing work has/had slowed down.......
Now GREF, has kept 17th June as a new target date, to open Losar/Kunzum - Manali road.

BTW, they have almost cut through/opened the 1st Glacier Point after Batal

Just came back from losar on 13th. The road condition from losar to kunzum top and then to batal are quite bad. In addition to this there was fresh snowfall ar kunzum top on 14th making the road even worse. Met a BRO person at Losar , according to him the entire route wont open till 21st

As per the last reports, all the glaciers has been cut through the whole road, so now you can say Manali - Kunzum Pass - Kaza road is walkable :D... It hasn't been good weather for past couple of days. Expect it to open in few days at least for light vehicles.

Manali - Kaza is not yet open!! It is just walkable if one is ready to reach the other end. But, vehicles are not crossing it. I have this update from the Losar village, who are the first one to get the news been closest and their people working with GREF. However, it may open on any day though.

Waiting for Sahil's more exact status and update!! Please confirm.

Though it is not part of Manali - Kaza but I am sure helpful.

Kinnaur is just in serious trouble with so many landslides all around. Roads near Tapri have been flooded and conditions are very very bad.

Re: Landslide in between Chota Dhara and Chattru

Postby dheerajsharma14 » Tue Jun 18, 2013 12:10 am

There is a huge landslide in between Chattru and Chota Dhara though that is expected to be cleared in couple of days. Bikes have a tiny passage to pass through and few bikes have made it in last couple of days. However, cars are still not able to go through. It is expected to be cleared in couple of days may be.
