Hi all

Had to go to kargil from from leh tomorrow but got a call from my driver that due to some communal issues in kargil. No taxis are commuting to and fro. My whole plan is baffled... Please provide your insights

Hi Deepak

Please check if your Ladakhi taxi driver will drop you till zero point (the border between leh & kargil) near Fotu La - usually when they have strikes like this, they drop each other in the border from where you can take a local taxi.

Please also call a kargil taxi driver to check if he will pick you up & drop you - In case of difficulty, get in touch with Mohammad Jaan (+91-9469732955), who's based out of Kargil / Drass to check if he can arrange something.. you can refer DoW or Vinod from Bangalore

Thanks Vinod Bhai..

Came back from kargil yesterday evening. No JK 10 Driver was going towards kargil in anticipation of mishap. It was some love jihaad issue. We Managed to get a JK 7 taxi who made a round trip but we had to skip alchi and likir as JK 7 taxis are not allowed for sight seeing off-highway. It was a good trip...

Looking forward for next trips...

Cheers
