Good Homestays in Ladakh

sort of off from the exact topic, but following are contacts of couple of homestays we lived in during out recent Ladakh trip.
1. Merek ( 10 kms from Spangmik - Pangong) : Mr. and Mrs. Dorjay - 0 94697 35329
2. Shyok ( between Diskit and Pangong) : Mr. Tsering Namgyal - 0 94695 25426

please let me know if there is specific topic to post these contacts.

Wow, I didn't even know these villages have homestays. Must have been an amazing experience living there.

How much do they charge for one person in Merek? The phones are turned off all the time. I am visiting Leh in March and planning to stay for a month at different places(Merek, Turtuk, Diskit, Tso Moriri). Any idea about homestays at these places?

March is too cold a month to stay at villages like Man, Merak and Tso Moriri. Only home stays will be available during that time of the year.
