Location : Tabo Village – Opposite to the Hospital. If approaching the Monastery, just before the monastery, you can see the sign board to your right.

The property:
This is situated in a galli just before the Tabo monastery. The Board is visible from the main road. Once you take a right into the galli (just sufficient for one car to pass), there is a vacant site with a gate which is used for parking. Then you have a smaller gate that leads to the main door – it looks just like a house from the outside. There are totally 5 rooms – two down and three in the first floor. The ground floor also sports a dining room / restaurant with 4 tables.

Rooms are spacious and can accommodate one extra bed easily (probably two extra beds would be cramping it). Attached bathrooms are also spacious and neat. Each bathroom has a Geyser for hot water which can be used 24hrs, provided you have electricity ;)

Blankets and Razai are provided. However, no room heaters are provided. There are no televisions either – neither in the rooms nor the dining room.

We stayed here in Oct 2013, and here are a few pics of the property:

Rates:
We took two rooms and that too in off season. Normal rates are 1000 per room – They asked for 700 per room, but we got it for 600 per room (and a free extra bed in one of the rooms)

Restaurant:
They have a kitchen where you get food – they can almost cook anything you ask. The Cook is from Bihar, but can cook all cuisines. I ordered Pasta which was extremely tasty. So were our pancakes, Chowmein and the Veg soup. Portions are generous. Food is not very expensive.

Wow, Pasta in Tabo !! We are in here for something... Thanks for the review Vinod, this one seems quite nice here. There is one on the main road too Tow-Dhey where I stayed. The rooms look quite decent enough.

Food was really good there Sany. Since we used to have Roti-Dal / aloo paratha everyday, my mom was a bit uncomfortable.. We just freaked out here.. The Pasta was very well made.. Pancake for breakfast was awesome.. His veg soup was out of the world.. the chowmien tasted wonderful too.. and to that, for me, porridge and cornflakes as an option for the breakfast was like heavenly.. And we'd packed aloo parathas for afternoon, and that tasted excellent too (partly may be because we were hungry) - but the point is, food is really good here :)

Trying to refresh my memory. I guess we stayed at this place in June 2011 during our visit. Very comfertable and clean rooms but at that time there were only 3 rooms on ground floor or may be two with a big dinning hall. The building was newly built and the owner was an old couple. They had their residence just next to the hotel. At that time it was not named. We paid Rs.450 for a double bed room for 4 persons. Please correct me...
