Tirthan Valley

Situated besides the Tirthan River in Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of 1600 meters, Tirthan Valley is a gateway to the Great Himalayan National Park. A place where you can easily forget the world to relax and have loads of nature walks following one trail or the other, into the woods or  besides the river. You can amazingly feel the nature in pure bliss here. If nature walks are the thing you like or even Trout Fishing then just head Tirthan. There are a lot of treks ranging from 4-15 days even which an avid trekker can explore and reach as high as 4000 meters approximately. In all it’s an ideal place for camping, bonfires, playing music, getting together to know each other (helpful in team or relation building ), eating out, lazing etc. etc. and the list goes on to make it complete holiday destination.

My stop watch tells me that it recorded “47 Hr 33 Min“, My car’s trip-meter tells me that it counted “1447.7 KM“, My camera tells me that it clicked more than 400 photos, I tell you guyz that I am back from Delhi to Udaipur trip. In Udaipur, it was a meet of BCMT forum and I said to myself why not I shall attend it and meet the travel freaks like me. But, I thought what about the leaves from office as I recently came from Valentines Trip | Delhi to Goa. Then a thought rippled through my body and I asked to myself can’t I do it in 2 days?? Will I need more than two days??

Things to carry

There are so many of us who likes traveling to the core of our souls and keep on visiting new, beautiful places every now and then. Sometimes the plan arises out of no where and you have no time to think about contents of the luggage for the trip. Most of the time in these cases, we forget one or more essential things to carry while going on a trip. You can imagine a situation where you need to rush and search desperately for a small thing such as soap where even a tissue paper would have come handy .

Since luggage is most common among any kind of traveler, it would be great to always have a list of things to carry on a trip, in store for yourself. It would certainly be extremely handy when the plans are abrupt and come out of nowhere, leaving no time for packing the luggage. I have tried to compile a comprehensive list of thing to carry while I go on a trip and feel could be helpful for each one of us traveling to various places.

Chandertaal Lake:

At an altitude of 4300 Meters approx. Chandertaal lake in Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh lies between a low ridge and the main Kunzum range. Mostly surrounded with snow, this deep blue-water lake has a circumference of 2.5 Kilometers. Some people also call it Moon Lake and is the source of the violent Chandra River. Moulkila and Chandrabhaga mountain ranges having peaks snow caps and snow slopes around the valley measures from 3000 Meters to 6500 Meters approximately. Locales there believe that it is this point from where Yudhishtra (Eldest among Pandava of Mahabbharata epic) was taken to heaven in his mortal form. It’s a very luring place.
