Its time for yet another fun ride into the Himalayas. This time it means full enjoyment and relaxation in the lap of mother nature. The idea of the trip is simple i.e. enjoy the chilling himamlays traversing through Shimla to let wife explore the mall road for the first time. Then, head to Chindi to experience solitude exploring through Tattapani to enjoy riverside meals and Naldhera to visit 9-hole golf course sitting amidst pine trees. Then, from Chindi move to Kasol to experience great quality cuisines amidst a little Israeli culture. Finally completes the last leg of the trip moving to Naggar to enjoy a romantic day out at Naggar Castle. Here is the complete itinerary,
- Day 1 — Delhi – Shimla
- Day 2 — Shimla – Naldhera – Tattapani – Chindi (Karsog Valley) (Very relaxed drive with a few hours stopover at Tattapani to enjoy riverside meals and another stopover at golf course of Naldhera)
- Day 3 — Chindi (Karsog Valley) – Kasol
- Day 4 — Kasol – Naggar – Manali (Snow Point) – Naggar (Krishna temple at Naggar acting as a vantage point offering some mesmerizing views is a must visit this time)
- Day 5 — Naggar – Delhi

Hi Dheeraj,
I need to plan a trip with my family to Himachal in March/April, I have been to few places like shimla, Dharamshala and McLeod ganj etc but dont want any of the crowded places. I need to spend time with family in a calm environment, may be a small town or a village with a dhaba to eat:-) but with nice views etc and no or very less tourists. Please suggest
Deepak
Deepak, I will suggest that you try Tirthan Valley. Stay at Sringi Vatika for basic experience or try booking Raju Bharti Guest House for April now only as it remains booked all round the year and that too very well in advance. You will thoroughly enjoy the Tirthan River flowing in front eand walks in the Great Himalayan National Park as the Spring season is best for it.
Regards

Thanks Dheeraj, Sringi Vatika looks really nice and interesting probably what I wanted
what is the difference between these two places and Chindi?
Deepak, Chindi does not have much to offer apart from couple of days of relaxation from the mad crowd. While near Shringi Vatika you can either go towards Jalori Pass and trek to even Serolskar lake from there to enjoy the walk. Otherwise you can relax around Tirthan River OR you can enjoy the walks in Great Himalayan National PArk. Do not outweigh Raju Bharti experience. It is one of top 100 places in India to stay right in the lap of mother nature !!
Hi Dheeraj, Want your help in coming up with a itinerary for 9 days in Himachal Pradesh. I am basically from Bangalore and would be traveling till Chandigarh by Flight.I have a itenerary in mind, please advise.

Thanks Dheeraj. Here is my plan and queries.
Mar 23 : Arrive to Chandigarh at 6.30 pm, travel to Amritsar
Mar 24 : Golden Temple, Waghah border in the evening
Travel to Dalhousie and overnight stay
Mar 25 : Dalhouise in and around
March 26 : Dalhouise to Manali
March 27 : Manali
March 28 : Manali
March 29 : Manali – Kullu – Manikaran – Shimla
March 30 – SHimla
March 31 – Shimla to chandigarh, Chandigarh to Blore
My queries are,
1. Is it right time to visit all these places ?
2. Is Dalhouise worth visiting ? Or should we come back to Chandigarh and go to Manali.
3. Are there any places around Manali which are less explored and adventorous ?
4. Is it worth spending time in Dalhouise and Dalhouise to Manali travel or should we spend that time in Manali ?
5. Is is worth visiting Shimla ?
6. we have time of 9 days starting 23 March (start from Blore) – 31 March(reach Blore) – please help in coming up with the plan. Our main aim is to visit in and around Manali and do some out of the box traveling.
Thanks,
Ashwini
thanks for your suggestions…
should we go from tirthan valley to shimla through 'chindi-karsog-tatta pani' or 'jalouri pass-naldhera'….which of these two is more adventurous??
Hi Pr@gt!,
If you looking for an adventurous and scenic route then go via Jalori Pass

[...] Chindi is yet another off–beat place in Himachal Pradesh that offers an inspiring set of beauty, peace and calmness. Once, you reach Chindi you have all the time in the world to rejuvenate, relax and spend some quality quite moments with your loved ones. You have ample of hikes around in the dense orchards and there are several temples than can be explored around Chindi. You can also visit Karsog Valley situated just below Chindi which also offers some really lush green wide views of the mountainscapes. If lately, you had some “not so good” time with your better half or you had great time with him/her but still want to make it better by listening to each other or you yourself want to introspect few things about yourself then Chindi is an ideal place for you.
