A New Design and A New Mascot for DeViL on WheeLs
By Dheeraj Sharma on Sep 1, 2011 00:05 in Announcements / 4 comments
I have been lazing for so long now to have a revamped design of the blog and a new mascot to accompany it. But, I always knew time is running fast and there is a need to offer better design with respect to information categorization, better navigational structure and better discussion tools for commenting on my blog. Finally, I have came up with a design and some changes as listed below –
[arrowlist]
-
Two new navigational menus to enhance navigation and provide filtered information.
-
A Reply button with each comment to enhance discussion around specific Q & A round.
-
Threaded view of all comments from now onwards up to 5 levels deep.
-
A Search Box to search the contents on the blog.
-
Enhanced Design with better and large text fonts.
-
And a new mascot logo, which I hope you guys will like.
[/arrowlist]
I am trying to continuously improve the information which gets the first priority along with the design of the blog. I do have a prioritized TODO list currently with me whose items will be added to the blog from time to time in the coming future. There will be continuous addition to the items in the menu as well so that exact information is available with least number of clicks based on categorization and my readers have good time reading the information rather than hard time to explore them.
In the end, thanks a lot for appreciating the information present on my blog and being part of it as my reader base, so far. I request your valuable inputs or suggestions or feedback on the new design. If possible, I will try to include the suggestions in the TODO list based on the priority and further try to improve the informational base on traveling in India.

hello dheeraj,
i m planing to go leh via manali road on bike, i m from distt. hamirpur h.p.. Have I need to get permission to go leh, if yes than, tell me where i can get this permission.
Hi Surjeet,
You do not need any permissions to travel to Leh but after reaching Leh you need to take inner line permits to travel to sightseeing places within Ladakh. For more details on inner line permits process and to download application form read the link here
I hope this helps. Let me know incase you need more info. or have any queries or doubts.
Regards
Dheeraj Sharma
Dheeraj,
DevilOnWheel is looking gr8… It's fast & well-managed…
Kedar, thanks a lot buddy. I am really glad that you liked it. I had this design in store for quite few months but couldn't just publish. Then, as we were blessed with a little boy so thought no better occasion to launch. Also, have quite a list of TODO things which I will keep on adding over time as at present enjoying the fatherhood to the fullest
… Thanks again for liking and appreciating it Cheers!!
