    Dear Dheeraj,

I am planning to visit Kinnaur Valley & Spiti Valley starting from Shimla in the month of July.

    The itinerary is as below:

    7th July : Chandigarh – Shimla
    8th July : Shimla – Kalpa
    9th July : Kalpa – Nako – Kaza
    10th July : Kaza – Losar – Batal
    11th July : Batal – Gramphoo – Leh

My question is how will be the weather conditions in July.

Spiti is in the rain shadow region, so there wont be much rain there. however, in July, there may be rain in Kinnaur and lower regions also. Plan accordingly.

I see that you are doing laung haul’s everyday. for example, Kalpa Kaza in a day would be too long. Also, Batal to Leh in a day is outrageous.

    Thanks Vinod.

I will consider your suggestion. Probably I will halt at Nako before Kaza and will have a halt at Sarchu before heading to Leh.
