DoW Cause- GYAAN 500 in action at Umagarh – Ramgarh

Believed in the dream of giving, worked up the way for Causes during initial discussion with Dheeraj nearly an year before yet executing the DOW causes remained a distant dream. Schools around parashar lake were closed when we visited the area. It was haunting inside as the stuff for distribution kept piling up every month.

Finally saw the light, when i had to give up my bachelrhood and to take a new partner with me in my life (note 1 constant partner for entire life) for a small escapade in solitude, where else can we find it but only in the himalayas. The place decided was “Solitude in the himalayas” at gagar village, near ramgarh. (The property view will come later in another dedicated section). The plan to execute the causes with a new and important person in my life was then lead by the lady herself.

We identified a small prathmik vidyalaya (Elementary/beginners school) in umagarh just a couple of metres on a road curving inside from the ramgarh village. The school is small and houses 54 students in the school from nearby remote villages in the mountain area. The school is nicely nesteld right next to the library & house although now the museum of one of the most famous contributor of Hindi literature and a padma bhushan awardee Late Smt. Mahadevi Varma.

The kids were so amazing and so disciplined, the principal or the pradhan adhyapika was so helpful and so jovial to see and hear about our Group DOW. She was happy to see the new way of contributing to himalayas founded by the Devils. Please find below the pictures taken by me during the execution of causes. Heart was filled with such joy to hear those little kids, their priceless smiles, their innocent discussions like “mujhe barbie wali notebook mili, mujhe to mogli wali mili”. It was just perfect wedding gift “thats what my wife said to me” she was smiling more than those kids.

I request all the fellow travelers who are going or will be going in direction of nainital/bhimtal/mukteshwar/almora/kausani/ranikhet to take out time and visit the school and contribute to those innocent kids. The principal of the school is Shri. Rajni Chaudhary and she can be contacted at 09411378746, please contact her and ask what the kids might need when you are travelling in that direction.

Its not just about being human or loving the himalayas….its about loving those people who live with our beloved himalayas.

    Dear All,

thank you so much, it is the inspiration from you fellow travelers and buddies that i could think of doing something like this at the onset of this new life. I do not wish to take the credit alone here. It is a thought that we all share equally here.

Wish to extend a great thank you to Prithvi Ji “the care taker of Solitude in the Himalayas and the boy Sooraj who not only identified the right school but also assisted us in doing the needful” This is why at DOW we promote to associate with locals to gain more knowledge of your surroundings.

I just wish to be somewhere sooner again in the himalayas and do my duty of sharing again.
