Remembering the smiles on the faces of those cute little kids in Larot and Chirgaon, it was time for the final leg of our journey on way back home. We crossed Tiuni, on the banks of beautiful Tons river and started the ascend to Chakrata (about 80 km from Tiuni). About halfway from Tiuni, we found this small village called Sawara. It was situated in Uttarakhand. Here we asked a person about possibility of an Aanganwadi and luckily the same gentleman was having the one at his house. He happily took us to his home which was just few stairs down the road. Their we met another group of children and once again, our 3 travel companions gave me and Madan the opportunity of doing this noble work and let us distribute the stationary items among them. We felt really happy as it was a very heart warming atmosphere there. The kids were a little hesitant in begining but later became friendly with us. We stayed there for about 15 minutes and the house owner offered tea to all 5 of us. This type of hospitality, we usually don’t see often in big cities. Perhaps this is another reason that we keep coming back to the hills and we will because the smiles on those wonderful faces are priceless..
Requesting my fellow companions to post the pictures..
