Firstly, visa on arrival has been chosen because of its convenience as it is easily obtained anywhere as long as Indian visitors are provided with an internet connection and then able to pick up the visa as soon as you land at Vietnam international airport. This Vietnam visa type saves a large amount of your time and money as it prevents you from waiting outside the Embassy for hours just to get the visa.

Secondly, visa on arrival is secure since your privacy is highly protected when it does not demand any original document to the Immigration Department of Vietnam for visa approval. However, you need to be careful when filling your information in the Vietnam visa application online form. Sometimes it can take so long to get visa stamped on your passport and you’ll need to stand at the long queue at the airport, but it can be easily solved with fast-track service so please have no worry then.

In order to apply this type of visa, you fill your personal information in the online Vietnam visa application form such as full name, date of birth, passport number, arrival date, etc. It’s better to enter the exact information of yours so as for the Immigration Department to issue Visa Approval Letter. You should double check to ensure everything is correct as nothing troublesome than personal information is mistaken. Visa service fee then can be made via Credit/ Debit Card /PayPal or pay via Western Union.

After visa application, what you do is wait for 2 days (normal service) or 4 hours to 8 hours working (urgent cases) to get your Visa Approval issued by Vietnam Immigration Department via email. Just download, print the visa approval letter out together with Vietnamese visa application form, the original passport (with at least 06-months validity), 02 passport-sized photos, Vietnamese Visa application form, and stamping fee and submit to the Immigration Officer to get full visa stamped on the original passport. However, please be noticed that visa on arrival works for air travel only.

It can be self-applied which is considered an advantage but this leads to difficulty for those who live far from Vietnam Embassy or has little time as applicants will be required to come to an embassy or consulate of Vietnam in India to apply in person.

Finally, each way of applying visa has its own advantages and disadvantages. However, citizens of India choose one of those ways in order that you can explore how magnificent Vietnam is without being held back because of complicated visa processing.
